2020 GES Virtual Talent Show
Students and Teachers,
Wow! What a school year! 2019-20 has sure taken a twist and turn and made a few of us shout! That doesn’t keep us from still having our annual talent show – we will just have to tweak things a bit! So… The 2020 GES Talent show will be a virtual talent show! I know what you are saying… How will this work?? Well stay tuned and you will see! I think you will like it!
What is your talent? A Talent is a skill someone has, to do something very well that people usually like and that may be difficult. Talents that you can share during this talent show could include sports, acting, dancing, singing, playing an instrument, performing magic tricks or gymnastics - Just to name a few!
This year’s GES Talent Show will require all staff and students who wish to participate to submit their talent in the form of a video. All talent submissions need to meet these guidelines:
Please submit your video by Friday May 8th @ 11:59 pm CST. Any videos submitted after this time will not be accepted.
Video Guidelines:
- Choose your talent and begin planning your video. Begin with the end in mind! :-)
- Remember the guidelines above: If your talent agent reviews your video and finds it does not follow these guidelines, it will not be included in the talent show
- All themes, music and clothes must be appropriate for a K-5 audience. No cuss words or innuendos.
- Your video should be no longer than 2 - 2 1/2 minutes long. This is due to the amount of space allowed for each video on the
presentation software.
- Practice your talent. Choose what you are going to wear and where you are going to shoot your video.
- Make sure you have plenty of lighting and that you can hear everything. Have your parent or an adult help you with this process.
- Record "practice runs". Do as many as you need! The final video you submit will be what everyone sees.
- Make your final recording. Make sure you can hear everything, see everything and that it falls within the allotted time.
When you are finished with your video, you can submit it using the appropriate link below. Make sure you include your name, grade and homeroom teacher with your submission.
